About the Role

We are seeking a Business Integration Architect for a 12-month role with our Raleigh, NC client.


Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Directing the conception, development and implementation of new product initiatives, including current product enhancements.

  • Providing feedback and input to senior level decision-makers to develop long-range strategic alternatives for product solutions. 

  • Establishing cross-functional workgroups that provide effective oversight of the Medicaid Business Architecture

  • Collaborating with Business Owners/Leads, Product Managers, Architects, Technical Leads and Program Management and developing workgroups around product deliverables.

  • Communicating project goals and timelines, next steps and results to team members, project managers and the executive team.

  • Through a variety of communication/meeting methods, determining the customer’s needs, leads product discovery and translates these into detailed and actionable requirements

  • Developing full length traceability between high-level requirements down to technical solution capabilities and/or components

  • Formulating high-level architectural patterns from sub-process definitions and collaborate with technical architecture to develop technology capabilities appropriately

  • Serving as a bridge between business and the technology team responsible for solutioning to meet agreed business needs and priorities

  • Working closely with Product Managers to help develop RFP and PRD artifacts and ensure business objectives and desires are fully represented in those artifacts

  • Guiding the process for developing Data Management strategies and standards with the technical architects to define appropriate details to guide the DDI and operational activities for the MES

  • Performing other duties as assigned which may include staff supervision or managing hybrid reporting relationships of subordinate staff


Requirements

  • Extensive Knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Care

  • Extensive Knowledge of the MITA Business, Information and Technical architecture framework

  • Extensive experience in development of Executive Level Business Presentations, Business Case Justifications and Performance Metric Development

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of products across functions and business segments in healthcare that meet departmental goals. 

  • Understands project portfolio management processes and deliverables, project management methodology, and business requirements elicitation techniques and documentation. 

  • Experience in analysis of performance indicators and evaluation of survey data to define successful criteria for testing and product acceptance. 

  • Knowledge of the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), cloud technologies, and system integration

  • Has an understanding of CMS Seven Standards and Conditions

  • Experience in the implementation, operations, and maintenance of an MMIS, or other health care claims processing or eligibility system project;

  • Knowledge of Federal and State procurement and contract policies statutes, rules and regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

  • Fluently discuss the financial and/or operational benefits associated with proposed product capabilities.

  • Proven track record in Decomposing High level business process requirements into detailed sub-processes that are testable statements

  • Ability to formulate high-level architectural patterns from sub-process definitions and collaborate with technical architecture to develop technology capabilities appropriately

  • Possess prior experience using tools such as iServer to manage the requirements definition process and should be able to leverage such tools to understand sub-process inputs/outputs and dependencies

  • Professional demeanor; ability to establish rapport and work well with others
